Johnny Sizemore’s Monologue Slam is a dynamic creative platform and live performance experience created to spotlight bold voices, raw storytelling, and emerging talent within the creative community. Produced by Creatives Connect, the event serves as a hub where actors, writers, spoken word artists, storytellers, and performers come together to share authentic work and build meaningful connections through the arts.
More than a traditional showcase or competition, The Monologue Slam is designed as a cultural experience—celebrating creativity, elevating underrepresented voices, and creating opportunities for artists to be seen, heard, and discovered. Rooted in community, collaboration, and artistic excellence, the event brings together creatives from across film, television, theatre, music, and digital media under one roof.
Founded by Johnny Sizemore through Creatives Connect and Showtime Legacy Theatre, the vision of The Monologue Slam is to build a thriving creative ecosystem in the Upstate and beyond—where rising voices and culture take center stage.
